v1.2 is Live — The End is Open, and the Dragon Fights Back
The End dimension is officially open on Orc's World. Grab your Eyes of Ender, gear up, and get ready for the hardest Ender Dragon fight the server has ever run — because we're not letting you walk away with a cheap win.
What's New in v1.2
The End is open. Players can now locate a stronghold, activate the End Portal, and step into the End dimension for the first time on Orc's World. Currently, you cannot use the End portals in the claiming world to get to the End. This is the standard End experience. The End islands, Endermen, and obsidian pillars have not changed. What has changed is what's waiting for you when you get there.
The Ender Dragon fight has been completely overhauled. Here's what you're walking into:
- Nearly double the health. The dragon now has 300 HP instead of vanilla's 200. This isn't a fast fight anymore.
- New attacks. Expect a ground-slam dive that sends out a shockwave on impact, a chained fireball barrage, and a sweeping laser attack you'll need to actively dodge, not just tank.
- A brutal endgame phase. Once the dragon perches at low health, it becomes immune to damage until you're in position — then it forces a final airborne showdown where you'll need to levitate up and land the finishing blow mid-flight.
- Boss music and arena atmosphere. The whole fight now has a proper soundtrack and ambient particle effects around the island.
- Smarter crystal mechanics. The end crystal towers are now guarded by phantoms — kill the phantom, break the cage, take out the crystal. You'll also see a live counter tracking how many crystals are left.
How to Prepare
This fight is built to punish players who show up under-geared. Before you head in:
- Stock a full stack of golden apples or enchanted goldens — the fight runs longer now, and you'll take more incidental damage from the new attacks.
- Bring bow and arrows for the initial crystal-clearing phase, but don't rely on arrows to lock the dragon mid-air — knockback resistance has been increased specifically to stop that strategy.
- Coordinate with your team on who's breaking crystals versus who's on dragon damage — the phantom-guard mechanic means crystal-breaking takes a beat longer than before.
- Save your levitation strategy for the final phase. You won't get the finishing blow without going airborne.
Why We Made This Change
A vanilla dragon fight takes most groups under two minutes and doesn't feel like an ending — it feels like a formality. v1.2 is about making the End feel like the actual climax of the survival progression on Orc's World, not a box to check on the way to elytra.
See you in the End.
