Orc's World Forum Rules

Welcome to the Orc’s World Forums! Our community is a place for players to discuss the game, share ideas, and connect with others in a friendly and respectful environment. By participating in these forums, you agree to abide by the rules outlined below to help maintain a safe and enjoyable space for everyone.

Violating these rules may result in consequences such as warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans, depending on the severity of the infraction.

Our staff members are responsible for enforcing these rules and will take appropriate action when necessary. If you ever have a question about whether something is allowed, please reach out to a staff member for clarification.

1. Respectful Behavior and Community Guidelines

All members of the Orc’s World community should contribute to a respectful and welcoming atmosphere. The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:

  • Harassment, bullying, or discrimination – Hate speech, racism, sexism, or targeting other players in a harmful manner will not be tolerated.
  • Flaming and toxicity – Engaging in arguments, spreading negativity, or encouraging drama is not allowed.
  • Spamming and disruptive behavior – Posting excessive messages, duplicate threads, or irrelevant content disrupts discussions and is not permitted.
  • Personal attacks and doxing – Sharing personal information or attacking others based on their identity, beliefs, or opinions is unacceptable.
  • Family-friendly content – Avoid excessive profanity, inappropriate jokes, or discussions about sensitive topics like politics or religion.

All communication on the forums should remain civil, inclusive, and appropriate for all ages. Public discussions should be conducted in English to maintain clarity.

2. Forum Etiquette and Posting Guidelines

To keep discussions productive and enjoyable, follow these guidelines when posting:

  • Stay on-topic – Ensure your posts and replies are relevant to the discussion. Off-topic conversations should be kept to designated sections.
  • No necroposting – Avoid reviving old threads unless you are adding meaningful, new information to the discussion.
  • Constructive discussions – If you disagree with someone, do so respectfully and provide constructive feedback rather than starting arguments.
  • No public shaming – If you have an issue with another player, report them privately instead of calling them out in public posts.
  • Avoid low-effort content – Meme posts, excessive emojis, or "copypasta" replies that do not contribute to a discussion are discouraged.

3. Advertising and External Links

We allow players to share their content in certain areas, but direct advertising is restricted:

  • YouTube, Twitch, and Social Media – You may share your content in the YouTube Showcase section or when relevant to a discussion. However, if the intent is to advertise your or someone else’s channel, it is not allowed.
  • No Discord server advertising – Sharing or promoting Discord servers anywhere on the forums is strictly prohibited.
  • No unsolicited advertisements – Posting advertisements for third-party services, unrelated websites, or products is not allowed.

Advertising must be done in accordance with these rules. Excessive self-promotion or spam will lead to consequences.

4. Moderation and Reporting Violations

If you encounter a rule-breaking post or user, report it by contacting support. The moderation team will review reports and take action accordingly.

  • Appealing punishments – If you believe you were falsely punished, you may submit an appeal through the designated appeals section. Once a decision is made, it is final.
  • Evading punishments – Using alternate accounts to bypass forum bans will result in further disciplinary action.
  • False reports – Submitting fake reports to try and get another player punished is against the rules and may lead to consequences.

Staff members have the final say in enforcement and will act based on their best judgment to maintain a fair environment.

5. Misleading or Malicious Content

Spreading false information or attempting to deceive others is not tolerated. This includes:

  • Fake news or misinformation – Deliberately posting false updates, patch notes, or misleading content.
  • Impersonation – Pretending to be a staff member or another player to mislead others.
  • Malicious links – Sharing harmful links, IP loggers, or phishing sites will result in an immediate ban.

All forum posts should be truthful and not intended to mislead or manipulate other users.

6. Forum Account Rules and Security

Your forum account is your responsibility. To keep your account safe:

  • Do not share your login credentials – If your account is compromised, you will be held accountable for any rule-breaking activity.
  • No alternate accounts for abuse – Creating multiple accounts to evade bans, manipulate votes, or spam is not allowed.
  • Abusive usernames or profile content – Any inappropriate usernames, avatars, or signatures will be removed, and the user may face penalties.

Orc’s World is not responsible for compromised accounts. Take steps to secure your information and report any suspicious activity.

7. Additional Rules and Final Decisions

These rules are not exhaustive, and staff may take action on behavior that negatively impacts the community, even if it is not explicitly listed.

  • Use common sense – If you’re unsure whether something is against the rules, it’s best to assume it is and ask a staff member for clarification.
  • Respect staff decisions – Arguing with staff or ignoring their instructions can lead to further disciplinary action.
  • No quitting/drama threads – Publicly announcing that you are leaving the forums often leads to unnecessary arguments and is discouraged.

By participating in the Orc’s World Forums, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to these rules. Thank you for being a part of our community, and we hope you enjoy your time here!
