Why did I receive a lock punishment?

Advertising helps fund Orc's World and keeps it free of charge for you!

A Lock Punishment is a special type of account restriction used on Orc’s World to protect our community and ensure player safety. When your account is locked, you will be unable to access the server until you speak with our team and the situation is reviewed. Lock Punishments are not the same as bans. A lock means we need to verify something or resolve an issue with your account before you can return.

Why Was My Account Locked?

Your account may receive a Lock Punishment for one or more of the following reasons:

1. Suspicious or Unsafe Account Activity

Your account may appear compromised, shared, or accessed from unusual locations. We may detect behavior suggesting someone else is using your account.

2. Serious Rule Concerns

There may be a situation requiring direct communication with you to clarify behavior or resolve a rule violation. A lock is used when the situation cannot be handled through a normal ban.

3. Player Safety Review

If we believe your account or another player may be at risk, we lock the account to prevent further issues until we can talk to you.

4. Manual Staff Intervention

A staff member may place a lock if they need to discuss an incident with you before you can resume playing.

How Do I Resolve a Lock Punishment?

To unlock your account, you must submit an appeal so our team can speak with you. Please mention in your appeal that you have a lock punishment to avoid long response times. Click here to learn more about how to appeal.

Important Notes

  • A Lock Punishment cannot be removed automatically.
  • You must communicate with our team before access is restored.
  • Ignoring or avoiding the appeal process will keep your account locked.
