How To Keep Your Account Secure on Orc's World

NOTE: You are fully responsible for any actions taken on your account. If your account is compromised, any rule-breaking activity could lead to penalties. Please take the necessary precautions to secure your account and prevent unauthorized access.

No Account Sharing

Never share your Minecraft or Orc’s World account with anyone. Sharing your account increases the risk of compromise, and any violations committed on your account will be your responsibility.

Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Many websites and services, including your email provider, offer Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) to enhance security. This requires a secondary code when logging in, making it significantly harder for hackers to access your accounts. We highly recommend enabling 2FA on your email, Mojang/Microsoft account, and any other important services.

  • Use authentication apps like Google Authenticator or Authy instead of SMS when possible.
  • Always save your backup codes in a safe place in case you lose access to your phone.

Password Security Tips

A strong password is one of the best ways to keep your account secure. Follow these guidelines:

  • Use a long password – At least 12+ characters for better security.
  • Include different character types – Use a mix of uppercase & lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols (e.g., ! @ # $ %).
  • Avoid common words or patterns – “P4aS5W0rd!” is not secure. Use random phrases instead.
  • Use unique passwords for every account – Never reuse passwords across different services.
  • Consider a password manager – Tools like Bitwarden, 1Password, or LastPass can help you generate and store complex passwords.

Security Questions & Email Safety

  • Set up security questions on platforms that offer them, but use custom answers that aren’t easy to guess.
  • Secure your email – Your email is the key to your accounts. Enable 2FA and ensure your email password is unique and strong.

4. Avoiding Scams & Phishing Attempts

Cybercriminals often try to steal accounts through fake links or too-good-to-be-true offers. Here’s how to stay safe:

🚨 Watch Out for Phishing Links

Before clicking any link, check the URL carefully. If a link looks slightly off or comes from an unverified source, do not click it.

🚨 "Too Good to Be True" Offers Are Scams

Be wary of anyone offering free ranks, capes, or in-game currency. These are often scams designed to steal your account information.

🚨 Never Share Personal Info

No Orc’s World staff member will ever ask for your password or personal details. If someone does, report them immediately.

5. Keeping Your Information Secure Online

  • Only allow trusted apps and services access to your Microsoft/Xbox profile. Check and manage app permissions here.
  • Do not click unknown links – If a message or website looks suspicious, avoid it and report it.
  • Update your passwords regularly – Change your passwords every few months to keep your accounts safe.

6. What to Do If You Think You've Been Hacked

If you suspect your account has been compromised, act immediately:

  1. Change your email and Minecraft account passwords.
  2. Secure your email by enabling 2FA.
  3. Check for any suspicious activity (e.g., changes to your email or linked accounts).
  4. Attempt to recover your account through Mojang/Microsoft Support.
  5. Add extra security measures like security questions and backup authentication methods.

Important: Orc’s World cannot ban or restore lost Minecraft accounts. If your account has been compromised, please contact Microsoft Support.
